§ 05
Service Ages 0–5 · 20 min

Small patients, gentler care.

A treatment visit designed specifically for infants and young children — brief, gentle, and adapted to the developmental stage of the child on the table. Nothing about it resembles an adult adjustment.

What this visit is

Pediatric chiropractic care at this age is about gentle, low-force techniques — typically fingertip-level pressure — applied with an understanding of infant and early-childhood development. Visits are short, parents stay present the entire time, and care proceeds at the child’s pace.

Dr. Slater provides care for children of all ages and adapts every technique to be comfortable and developmentally appropriate. Whether care is suitable for your child is discussed openly at the start of the visit — and if a concern belongs with your family physician or pediatrician first, you will be told exactly that.

Who it’s for

Children from birth to age five. Common reasons parents book include feeding-position preferences, head-turning asymmetries, and general musculoskeletal checks after milestones like rolling, crawling, and first steps. For honest framing of what the evidence does and does not support, read Is chiropractic safe for newborns? on the blog.

When to consider other care

Fever, signs of infection, developmental regression, or acute injury belong with a physician first. Chiropractic care is never a substitute for pediatric medical assessment, vaccination schedules, or emergency care.
